Welcome to Oro Grande Firearms Training, providing top quality instruction in firearms safety and marksmanship to the Pikes Peak region.

NRA certified and insured instructors are available to provide one-on-one or small group training that satisfies the requirements of Colorado’s Concealed Carry Permit law.

Unlike many trainers in the local area who have waiting lists for their classes, we have seats available immediately! We schedule sessions of our Basic Pistol Course 6 days a week, Tuesday-Sunday. Check our Class Schedule page for more information.

UPDATE: Effective immediately, Whistling Pines has barred all outside instructors from utilizing their range for classes, so we have had to make alternate arrangements. At least temporarily, we will be utilizing the range at Dragon Man’s, located east of town off Highway 94. Please note that this is an outdoor range, so dress accordingly. Also, there are no rental guns available at this range, so you will have to provide your own pistol for the range session. We apologize for any inconvenience.

AMMUNITION SHORTAGE: As you probably already know, there is a significant shortage of ammunition at the moment, particularly in the most popular handgun calibers. In particular, 9mm and .22LR are almost non-existent. We DO NOT provide ammunition for our classes, so please make sure that you have what you need before scheduling a class.
